As a health care professional, Ian believes that stem cell research has the potential to make a really positive contribution to the fight against major health problems like heart disease, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis and even nerve damage.
That’s why we are interested in the work of BioEDEN.
As a company, BioEDEN collects and stores the stem cells contained in children’s teeth - after they have naturally fallen out. By doing this BioEDEN can build up a personal cell bank for a child which can let them benefit from new medical techniques and treatments as they grow up.
The usual source for a very ill person is either stored umbilical cord cells or a bone marrow transplant. BioEDEN offer a very different source of stem cells and one we think is much more convenient.
We think BioEDEN provides a valuable resource for parents who want such reassurance for their children’s future.
BioEDEN do pay us a referral fee but we undertake to pass any fees we receive to charities helping sick children
