crowns and bridges

Occasionally teeth give in to wear and tear. You don’t have to live with a broken tooth or a gap.

A crown is one of the best ways of saving teeth and strengthening them at the same time. It fits over the affected tooth – recreating its shape and increasing its strength.

Teeth at the back need to be strong whilst teeth further forward should match the colour and texture of your natural teeth. Based on what we see in your mouth, we can recommend exactly the right type of crown for the job.

We may suggest an all porcelain crown, which can be made whilst you wait.  Other types of crown are available and we will discuss the options with you.

Where teeth are missing, we can use a bridge. A bridge replaces the missing tooth with an artificial one-without the need for uncomfortable dentures. The artificial tooth is anchored to the natural teeth on each side of the gap - creating a 'bridge'.

We’ll look at your whole smile – making sure your teeth work together properly and that they look right for your skin tone and face shape.

If bridges or ceramic crowns aren’t the answer for you, there are alternatives to consider, such as dental implants or partial dentures.

It’s often about balancing appearance, cost and time – we understand this and will work with you to arrive at the best outcome – for you.
