new patients - what to expect
- When you arrive, you’ll be able to park right outside.
- After you have been welcomed by our friendly reception team, you’ll be shown to our comfortable waiting room which is warm and bright. We want you to feel at home so there are books, magazines and cosy sofas. We have a state of the art coffee machine – do ask for a coffee – we’ll be delighted to make you one!
- Your first appointment will be with Ian, our dentist. Everyone is different so it’s an opportunity for him to get to know you.
- Some people come for a “check up” while other people come with very specific questions in mind. You may want to have whiter teeth or you may have worries about the early signs of mouth cancer. You may have a family and want to find out about affordable family dental care.
- We will have a look at your teeth and gums and we may take some x-rays. We’ll talk about why you have come, if there’s anything on your mind or if you’re planning for a big event.
- We will listen to what you want and explain what we have seen. If there are options, we’ll explain them to you, including the costs associated with each option.
- We understand that it’s easy to get out of the habit of seeing a dentist. So if its been a while, we won’t judge you – just help.
- If any work is needed, we will give you a written treatment plan that sets out your preferred option and the fees associated with it.
- You can trust us to be ethical, fair and honest so that you can make an informed decision that is right for you.
- Once you are happy to proceed, our reception team will help arrange the best times to suit your diary.
- Unlike some dental care clinics, Friday afternoon and Saturday appointments are available because we know many people need to juggle work and family.
