Technology has transformed dentistry but sometimes it can be hard to imagine what a difference it can make. This is particularly true with CEREC porcelain crowns and veneers. To help explain, our Receptionist Chris talks about the work that Ian has done for her - using CEREC to rejuvenate her smile ready for a big family event.
I wanted to see Ian because I was concerned that my three front crowns had black lines where the crowns met the gums. I had had these for a number of years and felt that the time had come to replace them.
Ian had a good look around my mouth and said that one or two of my old fillings were also leaking.
He took photographs and put them up on the screen for us to look at. I could see that a number of other teeth had fractures in them too.
Ian suggested that he could restore them with CERECs - all in one day from start to finish.
I was a little nervous but I couldn't have been in better hands. On the day, Ian explained everything that was going to happen. At each stage he checked that I was comfortable. I brought a book and spent most of the time reading and listening to music in the waiting room
I am so delighted with the results. When I came out of the practice I even kept looking in the car windows and smiling as I walked along!!!
My treatment with Ian and the nursing team was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They bought me drinks and lunch too.
I am looking forward to when my son gets married - I will be able to smile properly without worrying what my teeth look like.
