What are ClearSmile Alingers?
Clear Smile is a series of transparent, custom made aligners that can treat widely spaced and misaligned teeth. As they are removable, they are a non-invasive option compared to traditional fixed appliances.
What is involved as part of treatment?
You will need to attend an initial consultation so that we can outline what is involved during the treatment period and to ascertain if this is the right course of treatment for you. You will have the chance to ask any questions you may have and we will address any worries that you might have with patience and understanding.
Your orthodontist here at Arden House Dental will take photographs and impressions of your teeth and your suitability for the Clear Aligner system will be assessed from these. We will create images and models of a prospective smile, so you will know the outcome before treatment has even begun! A good motivation for the aligner-wearing period if you’re feeling a bit uncertain about treatment.
Your first aligner will be fitted and we may need to smoothen your teeth to make room for movement. You will need to wear each of the Clear Aligners for a week before replacing this with the following aligner.
Once your teeth have moved into the desired position, you will be provided with a discreet retainer. Retainers are essential in preventing the teeth from shifting back into their original position.
