Covid-19 Update: May 20th 2020
Unfortunately, our practice remains temporarily closed in line with government and professional guidelines. The health and wellbeing of our patients and our team remain a top priority. We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure we have everything in place to treat you safely, so we can open as soon as we can.
In line with this, we may have contacted you having to postpone your treatment. We have a record of all our patients who have been affected due to us having to close and will make contact with you, unless you have already done so, in order to rearrange your appointment as soon as we can. Until the dental industry receives clear guidance on how to arrange our appointments, we have removed the book-on-line facility so to limit the disruption of further appointments in the immediate future. We thank you for your support, understanding and patience at this difficult time.
If you need help with a dental emergency, we continue to offer our support and ask you to call the practice. Sarah, Michael or Kath are on call every day and will speak to you and give you their best advice and guidance.
Following a telephone consultation, if we agree you require immediate clinical intervention, we are able to refer you to the Urgent Dental Care Hub. Numbers of patients they can see and possible treatments are limited; therefore, we will help and guide you in making the right decision for you.
Despite these uncertain times, we are all looking forward to getting back to work and doing what we do best, caring for our patients, keeping them healthy and smiling. Please let us know if you would like to discuss any aspect of your care, the team are happy speak to you about achieving your goals and planning treatment, so there is minimal delay for you when we re-open.
Please follow us on our social media platforms @ardenhousedental on Instagram and FaceBook, where we post regular updates and all sorts of information.
No doubt you will spot some changes to your visit when we open but please be reassured we will put in place all the necessary steps to keep you and our team safe. The same friendly faces will be there to help and guide you through the “new normal”.
Please do contact us if you have any questions. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Covid-19 Update: 18 March 2020
A message from Sarah, Director and Principal:
Given these uncertain times and the developing situation with the Covid-19 virus, I felt it was important to reassure you that we are open and continuing to keep our practice clean and safe for you and our team. We are paying particular attention to the government guidance surrounding Covid-19 and we are prepared to respond to these as they are announced.
We are accustomed and familiar with high level decontamination procedures, as we work in an environment where the prevention of the spread of a whole range of infections is woven into everything that we do. In fact, we’ve even won a national award for our high standards!
Within the practice, throughout the day all the door handles, card machine and reception desk are wiped down with alcohol wipes. We have hand soap and towels in all our rooms and bathroom. There is hand sanitiser available at reception and in each of the treatment rooms.
We hope to continue to provide our service to our patients and would like to ask you to observe by these additional measures:
- Do not attend if you have either a persistent new cough and/or a high temperature. Our staff are aware of these guidelines and will also self-isolate if required to keep you and the rest of our team safe too.
- Please use the hand sanitiser available at reception both before and after your appointment
- To minimise the amount of people in the building, please do not bring additional family members with you unless they need to be there
- You may wait in our comfortable lounge for your appointment as usual but we understand some people may prefer to wait in their car – please just let our reception staff know when you arrive.
Therefore, if you are well, we are currently still encouraging you to attend. We will of course contact you immediately if this changes.
If you are over 70 or medically compromised and would prefer to defer your examination, then please let us know and we will happily rearrange this for you. Equally if you are feeling anxious or isolated, we are happy to chat with you over the phone and stay in touch. If you need our help and have self-isolated, please do call, although we may not be able to deal with everything we hope by speaking to one of our team we can offer you some advice and reassurance.
Finally, remember to stock up on toothpaste and all the “little brushes” our fabulous team advise you to use to keep your teeth and gums in the best condition. Having a healthy mouth will help keep your immune system healthy too.
