We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, once again, for your support as we navigate through this next phase of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the release of new government guidelines, we want to reassure you that we continue to follow the advice for Dental Practices in England to ensure we maintain the safety of our patients and staff.
We shall continue to send you our Covid screening questionnaire for you to complete prior to each appointment, as recommended.
As you would expect we ask you not to attend and rearrange your appointment if:
- You are experiencing symptoms that could be Covid-19 and are awaiting a PCR test result
- Have tested positive for Covid-19 and are self-isolating
- A member of your household has tested positive and is currently isolating
All of our team are double vaccinated and wear medical grade PPE when in contact with you, it is therefore unlikely under these circumstances that the virus will be transmitted, however should you test positive for Covid-19 within 48 hours of attending our clinic we would be grateful if you would let us know by calling reception on 01242 512444.
Although in some places it is now possible to go without your mask, we are asking you to continue to wear face coverings when in communal areas of the clinic. By wearing a suitable face covering you are not only protecting yourself but others around you, in particular, those patients who may be most vulnerable, especially when social distancing is more challenging. The current dental advice is that we maintain the same levels of PPE within the clinic when treating you, as you may be aware this will vary depending on the type of procedure. We will of course also continue to encourage you to use the alcohol gel stations during your visit.
If you are particularly worried or aware you were categorised as extremely vulnerable please do make us aware of this. There is no need to delay your care. We will arrange your appointment so that you are only in contact with those members of staff directly linked to your clinical care and will keep you separated from all other staff and patients.
We hope this way of working will not be necessary long term but for the foreseeable future we shall continue with to operate under these current and recommended guidelines.
The good news is our lounge is back open and the front door is open!
We invite you to take a comfortable seat and help yourself to a complimentary cup of tea or coffee or bottle of chilled water, however, on arrival please do continue to check in at the reception window first so that we may best monitor the number of patients within our clinic at any one time and help you to maintain a sensible level of social distancing. Should you prefer our team are still happy to come and collect you from your car or a sunny spot outside.
