Sarah bought Arden House in September 2014 and brings wide-ranging skill and experience to our patients, including Implant dentistry, Smile design and non-surgical Facial Aesthetics.
Sarah qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2001. Following her dental qualification, Sarah studied further to achieve her MFDS at the Royal College of Surgeons England, an MPhil (in Digital Radiography) and, at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute, she was awarded their Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.
She has worked in various hospital settings, gaining experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry and has worked as a lecturer at Cardiff University. Sarah is currently the Locum Restorative Consultant for the Gloucestershire NHS Trust, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team treating oncology patients. This is a thoroughly rewarding role and enables Sarah to use her experience to help treat the most difficult of cases. She has published several papers in a variety of journals.
Sarah worked in a leading private practice in Cardiff before moving to Cheltenham in 2006 for her husband’s work. She moved from another successful Cheltenham private practice to Arden House when the purchase opportunity presented. Sarah continues to invest in Arden House to provide treatments, services and opportunities of the highest level.
Sarah has a particular interest in Implant and Cosmetic dentistry; giving patients the confidence to smile. She is passionate about treating each patient as a whole and all the time being mindful of maintaining optimum health with minimal tooth destruction.
Sarah is also passionate about responsible treatment in facial aesthetics and leads Face at Arden House. Carried out carefully and sympathetically treatment can be of huge benefit and positively affect how patients feel about themselves. Alongside her experience as a dentist, her knowledge and appreciation for facial anatomy, understanding patient care, she is trusted to recommend and treat what is “right”, lending perfectly to her carrying out dermal filler and anti-wrinkle treatments.
In line with these principles she is a certified user of the Inman Aligner and ClearSmile Aligners which comfortably and quickly move teeth to a better position, straightening teeth, alongside realistic tooth coloured fillings, Cerec technology and placing Astra Tech implants to give patients the smiles they dream off. Digital Smile Design is also something Sarah uses to plan and demonstrate to you what might just be possible!
As a committee member of the Gloucestershire Independent Dentists she supports the continuing professional education of local dentists and support staff by helping to arrange the provision of high calibre international speakers and ensure essential training is also catered for.
Outside work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and can often be seen running with their dog Scruffy. A keen sportswoman, playing netball in the county league, supporting her sporty children, she also loves to cook and entertain.
