After qualifying from the University of Glasgow in 1996, Tom completed his vocational training in general dental practice in Aberdeen before entering the NHS hospital oral surgery service. He gained extensive experience in hospital patient management/oral surgery in Dundee, Taunton and San Francisco before moving to Gloucestershire in 2002. Tom became a Member of the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2000 and completed a Post Graduate Diploma (with distinction) in Conscious Sedation for Dentistry at Cardiff University in 2016. He has also been successfully admitted to the GDC Specialist List in Oral Surgery. Tom has a particular interest in treating nervous patients under sedation. He has over 10 years experience of providing intravenous sedation and is an approved mentor with the Sedation Training Accreditation Committee. In his spare time, Tom is a keen cyclist and photographer. We are delighted Tom is able to bring his skills to Arden House for the benefit of our patients. Tom will be able to provide intravenous sedation for a range of different treatments.
